A bit more information on William Brickey:
Ernest L. Mason records:
Served in the Union Army. in W. VA. After his service he went to
Coalgrove, OH., thenmoved to MN.His brother Landon went too.He
arrived at Graysville, TN. in March 4 1902, with his younger children.
His wife became seriously ill, and on June 14, 1904, she died.Jan 25
1907 his house burned with all of his books, pictures and papers.Later
he went to Idaho, where he married again (Winnie CATA).He was long an
active member in the Seventh Day Adventist Church.Note: by Edith Mason
Sherman:The occasion for the move to TN. was that their daughter,
Juanita had gone there to enter a training hospital to prepare for a
nursing career. She developed TB and was hospitalized for treatment.
Her family came south to help with her care, and to be with her. After
her mother became critically ill she was put into the room next to
Juanita, who was not told of the seriousness of her mothers illness. She
went into shock when her mother died suddenly and it was a long time
before she was brough out of it and on the road to recovery. She later
finished her training, in the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital and served
as a nurse for many years until age forced her to retire. She died at
age 92 years. in a nursing home in Lyons, OR. where my brother Ernest
Mason of Portland, and I visited with her a year or so before her death
in 1973. " She related this story to me personally."
