Hi Kim,
My great grandfather was John Bricker b.1818 in PA. He had a brother named William who could be the same age as your William. John's father was b. in Hamburg as was his mother. We are assuming Hamburg, Germany. John went from PA to Greenville, SC where he married Susannah Wellimon and had several children. They went to Carroll Co GA where Susan died and John married Frances Lee Goodson. They had one child, my grandmother, Laura Jane b. in Carroll Co before they moved to Cass Co (then Davis Co)TX. There was a large family. They mostly all stayed in Cass County. John is buried there as are some more of his family. Have any ideas on how we might check this out. I'm grasping for straws.
