Richard, This is the first time I have seen Elizabeth, second wife of Peter, with a full surname. Do you know where Ms. Waid located it? Peter's first wife, identified in baptismal documents from Waldersbach and Rothau, in Alsace, was Christina JUELCH (not DEPPEN, as often given). They were married in 1722 or 1723, as she was identified as single in late 1722 and the couple had their first child in late 1723. Christina is said to have passed away in 1735 after they immigrated to Cocalico, Lancaster County, PA, perhaps at the birth of Peter Jr. Peter Sr subsequently married second wife Elizabeth, whose place and year of birth, like her surname, have never been confirmed. The "Abridged Compendium of American Genealogy", edited by Frederick A. Virkus, gives Elizabeth's surname as beginning with the letter "L", but I don't know (yet) the source of his information either. Dale Notify Administrator about this message?
