My gggg grandfather was William Bryan Born 1784 in MD, Died Dec.1870 in TN, and married Lucinda Cynthia Hampton in 1809. I am wondering why the sons in the first set of children spelled thier name Bryan when thier father and sisters were Brian. The only information I have on Williams parents is that his father was James and he died 1840, York Co, SC. Any information on James and his descendants would be appreciated. Louise
