I am researching a NZ Brian family which I believe originally came from Stoke-on-Trent.
The earliest I can place them is in Christchurch 1890. Box Brians father according to his marriage cert says his father was Harry Brian. Supposedly they were in India where Box was born in 1866(?)This family split up leaving some children in NZ and some came to the US in 1899 from Auckland. What are some of the first names of your NZ people. I know of Brians in Wellington as well.
