Out of the blue I got a call Friday, April 16, 1999 from a distant and unknown cousin.. we talked and she informed me of the maiden name of my gg grandmother, Pheriba C. Powell... she was a Brewton. I jumped right here and found wealth of info that I needed to substantiate. I read all the posts here and Brian Nilsson has done trememendous research. From a post of Brenda Duff, I found my specific gggg grandmother and ggg grandmother and other ancestors. I am truly overwhelmed. I hope to be in contact with anyone who would like my Powell link to the Brewton.. Godwin and Coleman families of So. AL and NW FL. I am simply overwhelmed.. Great work, all!
