Hello,

Yes, I know of Edmund Troupe Brewton. He was the train station master at the former Fort Crawford; when the town of Brewton took its name, they took it from the station master, Edmund! Edmund's family went to Alabama from colonial North Carolina, in old Dobbs (now Lenoir) County, where they lived just north of present-day Kinston. Will email you more info. once I have a chance to look up specifics. Hope this helps!
