I have been researching my husband's line which has taken me from Louisiana back into Madison Co., AL and there I hit a deadend. James and Elizabeth were there and his will is there and names a son David. My husband's line goes back to David and Nancy Brewton in Madison Co., AL, but I have not been able to sort out whether James is David's father or if (as some researchers have said, that David is the David who m.
