Brewster/Brustar in New York City
Looking for a family of Brustar/Brewsters in the shipbuilding trade in NYC pre Rev War.By the start of the Rev War brothers Henry, Samuel, James & possibly one more had moved to Philadelphia.Henry was a mast maker. The brothers all fought for the colonies in the war & Henry is listed as a delegate to the Continental Congress in Princeton in 1783.Their mother was possibly a Styles/Stiles as Samuel Brustar, nephew, was named executor in the will of Henry Styles in 1793 in Philadelphia. Also, a son-in-law of Henry Brustar, worked for Ezra Stiles of Yale.
