My records show that William did indeed marry Phanah Risdin on 19 Apr 1781 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. (Source: B. C. Brewer, <>.) I also show that he married Millie West but I don't have a reference for it. The date was before 1795, where unknown. I don't show any children listed for her and I'm sure I have an incomplete listing of his children by Phanah. I don't have any birth dates for them either. Here is the summary of his will:

Item, I give to my sons namely William Brewer & Henry Brewer & Christopher Brewer all the land of the North side of Wards Branch to be equally divided between the three William part to Joyn William Edwards line Henry's to bee next and Christophers to bee next and Joyn Word branch to them and their heirs and assigns forever

Remander of my wourldy Estate I leave to my six sons Namely Edward Brewer and Oliver Brewer & William Brewer & Henry Brewer & Christopher & George Brewer and my daughters namely Patti Blalock & Rebecah Edwards & Hannah Edwards & Frances Brewer to be equally divided amongst them all after making them equal that has had nothing given with them that has...

William Brewer b 1752 Brunswick Co Va, moved later to Orange Co NC from which Chatham Co was cut in 1770. He enlisted in Rev War from Chatham Co & his Pension Papers NC S3085 say that he moved to SC 1796, then to Blount Co Tn about 1803, he died 1835; Married, but wife's name unknown.
Margaret Heid (Mrs. Ernest G) Buerkle of Bakersfield, Ca #348179 and Florence Ethel (Mrs. Byron C) Wheeler, Terre Haute, IN #486028 are members of the DAR as desc/o this William. Their papers list the children.
