Did Burwell Brewer 1730-1799 have a son named Burwell? The Burwell Brewer 1730-1799 could not have been in the war of 1812 if he died 1799. (Sorry, I didn't think of that previously.) The Brewer lines loved to use a name over and over, which makes our research one big headache. I noticed on another message that there is a possible link between George Brewer(1670-1744)who was married(2) to an Alice Burwell. George (1670-1744)and wife Sarah Lanier is my husbands line. The path westward that I see his line took was NC to TN, AR and then east TX. There was a lot on intermarrying, especially in AR, so the line can be almost lost. Also it seems the family had lots of sons. My husband's cousin did most of his Brewer research while her mother was still living and could help. Most of the Brewer research that I have personally done was for my nephew-in-law whose mother was also a Brewer and through George and Sarah Lanier. He goes back through Henry Brewer(1776 NC-1865 Nacogdoches, TX) who along with his son James were involved in the Texas Revolution. I would like to be of more help, but would need to do a lot more research at this point. However I would say that you might have a good possible link and possibly someone out there has the key.
