Nell Garland Brewer, 87, of Maryville, TN, passed away
Friday, June 12, 2009, at Blount Memorial Hospital. She
was a member of Green Meadow United Methodist Church and a
longtime Science Teacher at Lanier High School and
Bearden High School.
Born November 24, 1921, Tapoca, NC, she was preceded in
death by her parents, William H. and Addie Thomas Garland;
husband, Clair A. Brewer; brother, Blair L. Garland;
sisters, Bernice Smith and Elizabeth Hamilton.
Survivors include her cousin, Kathleen Harrison; niece,
Judy Batson and husband Dan; nephew, Bill Garland and wife
Inous; special relatives, Leiza and Kayleigh Howard,
Rebecca Willis, Patrick Garland, Lee, Jon and Jacob Rouse.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2009,
in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Frank 'Buzz' J. Trexler officiating. The interment will
follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Knoxville, TN.
