BREWER Family in ILL. 1800's

I need help! I'm trying to find any info on James (Jim) BREWER abt. 1883 in Ill. I don't know what county. The only info I have is he had brothers named Charles and Franklin. I have tried for years to trace this family for my mother-in- law. She passed away in Oct. 1998. Her twin sister is still living and I would love to get a lead on this line as it was their fathers. The only thing they ever knew is that Jim Brewer, their father, left home because he didn't get along with his step mother. If anyone has any info PLEASE contact me as Aunt Myrtle is 80 yrs old and not in real good health and I would love to help her find out about her fathers line!
Thanks in advance for any help!!!
