I've been searching for Richard's parents for years.He was married to Nancy Shafer who was my direct line ancestor.
As you know, Richard seemed to age at a rate double the normal and somehow ended up being one of the oldest citizens of Ohio.
Here is what I found:
Marriage at the Dutch Church, Albany
Ritchard Brewer and Katherina Scharp on Nov 22, 1702-because of the name I'm sure there's a connection, maybe Richard's grandparents.
Helderberg Reformed Dutch Church
1787
Nov 6Richard Brower and Margariet BlaineHelena b. ?sponsors: Evert Van Arnem and Helena Vroman
1796
April 17Derick Brewer and Maria BlainDerrick b. May 1, 1790no sponsors
These baptisms were recorded in Albany County.
Richard Brewer was found in the 1790 census at Duanesburgh, then Albany County.
