I have spent many hours over 3 years researching Ambrose Brewer. The difficulty is that there are so many Ambrose Brewers. Ambrose Sr. who is my father's great, great, great grandfather, I have as born about 1753 in Brunswick VA. and died in Hancock Co, Tn. He had 2 wives, Lucinda Russell and Mary Oma Richardson. I have constructed the Ambrose descention as follows: Ambrose Brewer Sr. had 3 sons, Howell cobb, Ambrose Dodge (Jr) and Joab. Howell Cobb also had a son born 1815 who was Ambrose III. I believe he also had a son born in 1858 Ambrose "Bug". Ambrose Dodge born 17991 in Moore Ct. NC had a son Ambrose? born in 1816. Joab, my line, had sons Moab, and Joab H. Jr who had a son Ambrose Leander born in 1855. There was also a son between Lucinda and Ambrose Sr named Ambrose Hollon. If anyone has something different, please let me know.

Ambrose Sr. must have been some MAN...for so many to be named for him. I have dug through so many census data to find all these matches....too many to list, but search some of the above for more info.
