Hannah Goble was widowed by 1677 at which point she married my ancestor Ephraim Roper - they were both killed by Indians at Lancaster in 1697.
Their 8-yr old son (Ephraim) was captured by the Indians and ransomed two years later- thank God or I wouldn't be here to tell it.
His father was the only survivor of an earlier attack on the Rowlandson 'fort' - described by Mary Rowlandson upon her return from a sojourn in Canada!
