Rena Hale Brewer,(b.1836) married to Preston Brewer (b.1832) in Georgia. They lived in Texas. Rena was thought to be part Native American. Their daughter, Alice Jane Brewer, married my great grandfather, James Bright Carter and moved to the Long Pine area near Camp Crook. Alice Jane had a brother named Jim Brewer who was in Baker and I think ran or owned the Baker Hotel?? Alice Jane also had sisters: Mary Brewer Cable, Francis Brewer, Josie Brewer, Lillie Brewer Owens, that I know off. I am a former Ferrel from Baker. My sister Kim in Baker has more information than I do. Also photos of the above listed Brewers. Hope this helps!
