William and Susannah Brewer, Washington Co., TN, and Washington Co., AL ??

Like others, I am attempting to sort out the many William Brewers of the early South.

Has anyone actually seen the "Will" of William Brewer of Washington Co., TN, which is stated to be filed in DB B, p. 147, dated 17 March 1799 and proved 2 April 1799? Has anyone seen the "Will" of Susannah, said to have been written 1812-1814, also in Washington Co., TN?

I recently examined Washington Co., TN, will, deed, and tax abstracts that cover the period from Washington County's settlement until the 1820s, but neither of these documents is included in these volumes.

Likewise, has anyone seen a copy of the power of attorney filed in Washington County, Alabama, in 1804 from "Sousannah Brewer" to her "son George Brewer"?

I have seen secondary references to both of these documents -- in Broyhill's work on Virginia Brewers, in Barbara Harrison's work on her William Brewer line, and in Ben Brewer's The Long Brewer Line -- that abstract and quote from the documents, but I would like to obtain an actual copy of each document. Does anyone have copies they'd be willing to share, or to post on-line for others to study?

Best wishes to you all,
Sincerely, Thomas Daniel Knight
