Thanks for the information on the mapping. I'd like to get some maps from the GA DOT. Do you have a link or address?
I'm going to keep studying these land plats.
You talk about the Mangums: My Sarah Ann Taylor named her first son Mangram Leslie Rice. When I saw the name Mangum on the land transaction between John and Bethia, I knew I had seen that name or a similar one before. So I looked in the Amite Co, MS records that I have and didn't see it but that is going to be my next research. There is a Lesly Bankston land record near George Brewer, Sr. in LA. Lesly Bankston had two lots north of George. As I stated before, Sarah Ann is George's granddaughter on her mother's side. Judith Bankston is Sarah Ann's grandmother on her father's side. Now I need to know where the Mangum or Mangram's fit in. I wonder which is correct - Mangum or Mangram?
Do you have a link to the Warrenton, GA library I could go to or an address? I'd sure like to find out about those church minutes.
The more we talk, the more I'm convinced I'm definitely on the right track. I'm going to check out the Greensville Co. cencus in VA, too.
Thanks so much for all of your help, Dean.
