I have Nicholas Wolfe Brewer Sr.,b.7-12-1839,Clairborn Co. TN. d.6-27-1919, m. Mary A.Hudson1-19-1864. He was son of Howell Cobb Brewer,& Mary Polly Wolfe,Howell b. 10-20-1790,NC,moved to Owsley Co KY from Hawkins Co,TN,d. 4-19-1886, son of Ambrose Brewer Sr & Oma RichardsonBrewer,m. 1st Louisa Short,9-10-1810, 2nd Mary Cope, 9-12-1834, 3rd Mary Polly Wolfe, 9-3-1838,b. 1800, TN.,d. 6-2-1896, dau of George Wolfe & Polly Howell Wolfe. Mary Polly Brewer, was mother of Nicholas. she had 4 other children of Howell Cobb Brewer. Have many more Brewers. My wife's dad John Gross Burnswas son of Franklin Burns & Malvery Brewer, dau of William Brewer & Elizabeth Cole of Brutus, Clay Co. KY. He was another son of Howell Cobb Brewer & Louisa Short Brewer. Hope this helps. Lyman H. Goben.
