Barbara

I am confident but dont have any documented proof that Rhoda S Brewer, the wife of Charles Butler is the daughter of Isham and Rebecca Brewer. These are things I know for sure.

If indeed Rhoda is the daughter of Isham and Rebecca (nee Brewer) Brewer, in 1880 she is living with Charles Butler as his wife, and Isham must have already passed on as Rebecca is living with her son William H Brewer and his wife Martha Jane Hill Brewer. Also in the household is Rebecca's son Edmond and a nephew of William named Andrew Moore.

1900 WINSTON COUNTY, ALABAMA FEDERAL CENSUS
187A Pricinct #9 Kimbrough, Sup Dis. 6, Enum.Dis. 62, Sheet 6
William Brewer age 26 born Feb 1874, born Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.
Martha J Brewer, wife age 19, Mar 1881 born Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.
married 4 years, 2 children, 2 living born Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.
Rosa L. daughter age 2 born Oct 1897 Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.
Avery, son age 1/12 May 1900, Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.
Also enumerated in household is,
Beckie A mother age 70 Widowed 13 children, 9 living married 52 years
born Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.
Edmond T. brother, age 33, born May 1867 in Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.
Andrew J. Moore, nephrew age 10 born Oct 1889 in Al., Father born Al., Mother born Al.

William was in Marion County in 1910, and lived there till his death. I have lost most of the children of Isham and Rebecca, however I have been told that Martha Jane decorated two graves at Trinity Baptist Church in Marion County, Alabama and I know for sure that one of these graves was that of Tura Brewer, brother to William. I suspect the other is that of Rebecca. Both of this graves are unmarked. I think there probably were several of the children who died young and could be buried in Franklin County, Alabama.

Did your Rhoda have a sister named Leri Alice (called Alice) that married Asa/Acie D. Orr ? If she did that is the only for sure evidence that I have that would indicate that this is indeed Isham and Rebecca Brewer's daughter.

Sorry I cant help you more.
Peggy Shaw
