Alot has been posted on a Nathan Thomas Brewer married to Mary "Polly" Nathan or Powers.
Let me toss a new wrinkle into the mix a let me know if there is a connection.
According to written BURNS family histories (two down different branches):
Nathan Brewer (d.bef. 8/1838) married (abt. 1811) Mary Burns (b.abt. 1772, d.aft. 8/1838) had issue: Elizabeth, Winney, Elenor, & Amos. - all in Chatham County, NC.
Now looking at the information posted, the Nathan Thomas Brewer was from Chatham Co., NC, did marry a Mary, and had a brother named Amos (possiby named a son after his brother?).
The dates seem to fit well, the location is right, the wife's given name is right, and a child named Amos seems to push me in this direction - what are the chances???
Perhaps Mary Burns married a Nathan or Powers before she married Nathan Brewer? Could this be the connection? Since my family histories do not reflect the child Willis Brewer, is it possible that Nathan brought a child into this marriage?
Your thoughts, please reply either by post or e-mail to email@example.com.
Perhaps this will give researchers on Nathan Brewer some new clues?

Mary Rosser Holley
