I have AMERICA HUNTER (d/o DAVID HUNTER and Unknown of Hopkins County KY) m. JOHN W. BREWER by 1848.

David Hunter was born NC circa 1782 and died between 23 April 1858 (date of Will) and 18 November 1858 when Will was proved at Hopkins County Court. Witnesses were B. S. Ruby and Joel G. Price. Will Book 9, pg. 324, 325.

The part of KY where David Hunter lived in Hopkins County became (and still is) Webster County KY in 1860.

By 1848 America Hunter had married John W. Brewer. They executed a deed - along with America's sister MAHULDA/Hulday/Huldy HUNTER - selling to Thomas Ramsey 91-3/4 acres on the waters of Deer Creek Hopkins Co KY. Deed Book 15, pg. 64-66.

America Hunter's siblings by Unknown mother are:
NELLY Hunter m. ? KENNEDY;
NANCY Hunter m. ? SISK;
JANE Hunter m. ? KENNEDY.
MAHULDY/HULDAY/HULDY Hunter m. CLARK [S.W./J.W.?] after 1850.

America Hunter's half siblings by DAVID HUNTER & MARTHA BROWN are:
William Thomas Hunter;
Susan Catherine Hunter b. 1849; m. ELIAS FRANKLIN CATES;
James Washington Hunter.

If you or anyone reading this have any information on any of the above, I would love to hear from you. I am desperately trying to piece together the life of my ancestor DAVID HUNTER.
Thank you. Beverley
