Blount County Brewers around 1800
I have recently discovered on a Blount County Tennessee online record the family listing of a James Brewer of Blount County Tennessee.Listed among his many children are Empire Brewer, Kizziar Brewer and Nathan Brewer.
Can anyone shed anymore light on this family of Brewers?I know there is an Empire Brewer-Blount and a Kizziar Brewer-Blount buried in the southern most part of Carroll County in Brewer Cemetery. Since my Nathaniel Brewer (gggrandfather) lived and went to church in the same area and maintained a long time relationship with John Gray Blount (husband of both of the sisters, both of whom left him widowed), I can only assume Nathaniel D.J. Brewer was related to Empire and Kizziar. There is also a Septer E. Brewer buried in the same cemetery near the sisters that we show as a grandson of N.D.J. Brewer. We have one source that lists N.D.J.'s father as James W., but nothing conclusive.
I am trying to draw more consistencies between the Blount and Brewer families in the hope that I will be able to follow them back through Blount County in Tennessee to Chatham County in North Carolina.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
