BREWER's of Native American lineage

I have a gggreatgrandmother named Nancy Emily Brewer Brooks, who was Cherokee (or one of the 5 civilized tribes, choctaw, chickasaw, etc). I think she came from North Carolina. If your line is from Maryland, you should go to and look at the listings.

I found this website helpful. Also there are two volumes called "Cherokee Roots" by Bob Blankenship. I have Volume Two: Western Tribes if you have a name to lookup.

If your lineage is from Maine, you could try some of the other listings on the website above. They have Enrollment Cards on some of these sites for some of the rolls that were made, Dawes, Miller, etc.
