Melba, My descent is from George Brewer and Sarah Lanier's two sons: Howell Sr. and Nicholas Sr. In 1995 I put together a book, "The Laniers And Their World (1559-1719)" The last three chapters are on the children of George and Sarah, with the latest, I could find, on Howell Sr. and Nicholas Sr. and their descendants. I come down from Howell Sr. to Howell Jr. to Reuben (b. 1768/9, d. 1855) and his wife, Celia, through their daughter, Pherabe (1796-1874) who married her cousin Isham Brewer,the son of Nicholas Jr. On Nicholas Sr.'s side, I descend from Nicholas Sr. to Nicholas Jr. to Isham. Sound confusing? My great-grandfather was Lewis Brewer Sr.,one of the many sons of Isham and Ferabe. If you are interested in the book, my e-mail is: searex@earthlink.net.
