Hello Ronnie,
Just looked up what I have on Sampson and Lydia Brewer Williams. Sampson Williams was married twice. His first wife was Lydia Brewer with which he had six children. One of which was a daughter named Lydia who later married John D. Winkler my great-great grandfather. Sampson's second wife was Orlena Brewer with which he had eight children.Lydia was the daughter of Frederick and Lydia Brewer and Orlena was the daughter fo Samuel Russell and Mary McCully Cloud Brewer. One of Sampson's sons James married Confort Cloud. Sampson was a farmer and a lawyer. If you ever run upon a copy of Goodspeed's History of Tennessee (Thirty East Tennessee Counties) You will find a long Paragraph on Sampson Williams. His father Moses Williams was a soldier in the War of 1812. He went to Ark.
His wife was Nancy Wilder. I am a member of the United States Daughters of 1812 on Moses' service. Do you have a copy of Hancock County and Its People? Hope this help
Thank you for your reply. ---Lynda Logan
