Terry:
The list of names I provided to Michelle back in July 2001 came from the mormon database and they listed most of the children of Henry Brewer and Susannah Mitchell. One of the names I did NOT list was their son James, who was born in Alabama in 1816 and subsequently died.
To answer your questions: Since there was NO middle name or initial provided in the mormon database for the John Brewer shown as born 13 January 1819, there is NO WAY to prove positive that it could be your John Clark Brewer, but it sure is a coincidence that you have a paper saying birth 13 January 1813 and the mormons list birth as 13 January 1819.
I checked on the marriage of your John C Brewer to Mary Garrett and discovered it to be 29 October 1840 or 1842 in Georgia. If your John Clark Brewer was born in 1813, he would have been 27/29 when married...however, the John Brewer I listed born in 1819, would have been 21/23 if married in 1840/42.To make matters more confusing, there was another John Brewer, married 8 August 1842 in Morgan, GA to Elizabeth Ann Davis.
Greene GA and Oglethorpe GA are less than 25 miles apart...
This is NOT a part of my family...I was just trying to give some assistance here.
Good luck.
