Early Georgia Brewers
For you Effingham, Chatman, Liberty county GA Brewers. The name James seems prominant in your line. For those of you who have not seen this before I offer this.
Granted by George the Third, by the GRACE of GOD: of Great-Brittan, France and Ireland, Defender of the faith, and so forth .........
Grant to James Brewer 200 acres in St. Paul Parish on November 7th, 1769. St. Paul Parish converted to Richmond county.
I did not know if any of you had seen this before. Since many of the descendants having the given name of James show birthplaces in SC it is possible that the above referenced James Brewer owned land on both sides of the Savannah River. Possible SC counties to look in would be Edgefield and Barnwell counties.
I would also like to know of the Savannah GA area Brewers if they know of any relationships with the Sibley or Allbritton families of this same area.
Thanks,
Dean
