Dear Marlitta.
I don't believe Milton served in the war. He married Eleanor (Ella) Thompson in Henry Co. Tennessee in 1871, had 3 boys, moved to Marion Co. Texas where he died. The boys then came out to Oregon in 1899.
Sarah Muncys affidavits indicate that Isaac was not in the military and was killed by a Jack Maynard of the home guard.
I have located an Isaac Brewer in the WV Union Militia "Indpt Scouts" of Wayne Co. Their Captain was Wm. Spaulding. Isaacs first wife was also a Spaulding.
Haven't seen Lewis' book, but would very much like to.
Looked at your website. Excellent! Will follow your research and inform you of any developments in the Brewer line.
Thanks for your interest,
Carl
