In Reply to: William Brewer-Clarke/Oconee Co. GA by James William Brewer of 8988

I have been trying to find a Brewer, unknown first name who married Sarah, unknown last name, around 1860 in the area of Clarke Co, GA. Sarah Brewer remarried a Henry C. Poss. She had two children, Emma Serena and James D. from her marriage with Mr. Brewer.

Most of them are buried at First Baptist Church of Bogart in Clarke Co GA.

I was there the other day and saw the Confederate Grave Marker for Benjamin P. Brewer, Co D, 5th Ga Inf. with no dates. There are a lot of Brewers buried there, but I did not write down any other names.

I feel sure that my Brewer line is related somehow to the Benjamin P. Brewer line, but I am not sure just how.

Any suggestions?
