Gisele,
This is what I have on John and Hannah Brewer:
John Brewer was born May 13, 1815. He was the second child of William Brewer and Jane McKnight. He died on August 2, 1899 and was buried in Toledo Cemetary (in Illinois). He was a farmer who lived his later years in Toledo, Illinois. John was said to be a devout Methodist and is remembered as a great hunter, forceful speaker and grand storyteller. Hannah was his first wife. They had 15 children: William Nelson, George Washington, Andrew Thomas, Calvin Jacob, William Lewis, Nancy E., Mary Ann, Lucinda, Russett Jordan, Margaret Jane Alice, Huldah Lucinda, Sarah Lavicy, Hannah Melissa, Isabelle and John Ruseau. John and his second wife, Isabelle had six children: Charles, Clarence, Vernon, John J., Clara and Justin J. John's parents came to Cumberland County, Illinois from Wayne County, Indiana in 1838. William and Jane also had a son named Thomas Brewer, born November 15, 1819. Died November 11, 1886. Thomas was a lawyer and politician who was closely associated with Stephen A. Douglas. He sat on the platform during the famous Lincoln-Douglas debate on September 18, 1858. He was also an ordained Methodist minister. Thomas and his first wife, Mary had 9 children: George Matterson, Mary Elizabeth, William Alexander, Harriet Jane, Levi Nelson, James Melvin, Sarah Emeline, Thomas Clinton and John. Four children were born to Tom and this third wife, Mary Bloxom Brewer: an infant, Belle, Lucretia Belle and Walter. The information I have doesn't mention who his second wife was or birth dates for any of the children listed above.
