Children of Thomas and Lucretia Brewer: William, b. 1790, d. 5 March 1874; Nancy b. 1792; Stephen b. 1794; Levi b. 1796; Briant b. 1799, d. 1845; Nathan b. 1808, d. 1888; Wilson b. 1809; and Andrew Jackson b. Aug 1815, d. 31 May 1898. Mormon records indicate all the children were born in Rowan County, NC; however, Warren H. Brewer's book indicates Andrew Jackson was born in KY.
William (1790) married Jane McKnight in 1812 or 1813 (probably in TN) and had children Lucretia, John, Mary, Thomas, Nancy, Sarah, Eliza Jane, and Hulda. William arrived in Wayne County, IN in 1816 or 1817 and later moved to near Greenup, IL in 1838.
Nancy (1792) married William Stanley 11 May 1826 in Perry Township, Wayne County, IN. and they appear on the 1830 census for Randolph County, IN.
Stephen (1794) was married on 29 August 1819 in Wayne County, IN to Susanna Wright and they appear on the 1830 census for West River Township, Randolph County, IN. Stephen and Susanna had children Joshua, Delilah, Betsy, Polly, and Bryant (apparently named after Stephen's brother Briant).
Levi (1796) appears on the 1830 census for Madison County, IN which adjoins Henry County at the northwest corner. The Madison County History states that Levi was among the first settlers in the southeast corner of Adams Township and that he served in the Mexican War.
Briant (1799), also spelled Bryant, was married to Eliza Briggs on April 16, 1820 in Wayne County, IN. Briant is listed as head of family on the 1840 census for Wabash Township, Fountain County, IN. Briant died in 1845. Eliza is listed as head of family on the 1850 census for the same township. Briant and Eliza had children Luiza, Lorenzo Dow, Minerva, William Irvin, Caroline, Bryant, Isaac, Mary, and Eliza Elen.
Nathan (1808) was born near Salisbury, NC. He lived until about 1888 and indicated that he remembered incidents involving his family's migration to Wayne County, IN. (via TN, and KY?), which Warren H. Brewer estimates occurred after 1815. On 31 October 1822, (when he was 14 years old??) Nathan entered land in Dalton Township, Wayne County, IN about three miles west of Economy which he later deeded to his father, Thomas, on 27 January 1831. He is listed on the census of 1850 as a farmer and lawyer. Nathan married Rhoda McCristy on 12 March 1829 in Wayne County and they had children Betsy Ann, Mary Jane, William Thomas, Suffrona, Floyd, Amos, Arthur, and Christopher Columbus. Later, Nathan married Jane Jordan Street, and they had Pharoah Wayne.
Wilson (1809) was married 25 July 1830 to Rhoda Stanley in Wayne County, IN. They lived in Henry County, IN until moving in 1850- 1860 to a point possibly near Webster City, IA.
Andrew Jackson (1815) was apparently named after the future president who was a hero of the War of 1812. He married Jane Warren in 1835. They lived in Kosciusko County, IN in the townships of Franklin, Perry and Dalton, although some of the children were born near Rochester in Fulton County, IN. The children were Margaret Ann, James, Thomas, Andrew, Huldah Jane, Sarah Elizabeth, and Sophia Ellen.
