In Reply to: Wilson Brewer family 1850s IA by Bill Rowan of 8988

My great-great-grandfather was Wilson Brewer, born in Chatham Co., NC in 1801--so it is said. He moved to Georgia before 1850 and died in Tenn. in the 1880's. I'm giving rough figures because I don't have my unwieldly file before me. I have seen refernences to a Wilson Brewer in Indiana around 1840 or 1850. There is a book that gives info about the family of Thomas Brewer , immigrant , that goes to Indiana and has a Wilson also. I have not been able to connect but I believe that family originated in NC and feel there is a connection. I can't give you the book's name at present--but search the Indiana Archives as I'm sure it must be there. Let me hear. I've searched for 50+ years for the father of my Wilson. Jerry
