George Brewer b. 1670 m. Sarah Lanier..they had 10 children.
After Sarah's death, George married Alice Burwell. They had
3 children. One was Burrell.
Burwell Brewer married Elizabeth Patrick.They had 12 children. One was William, who married (1) Elizabeth Holman (2) Sarah Doggett
William and Elizabeth had 8 children. One was Willis Hamlin Brewer who married Mary Spence Walpole. Daniel Willis was one of their 6 children. He married Martha Nancy Jones. My grandfather, George E. Brewer, was the youngest of their children.
I hope I've got this right....Am doing this from memory.
I found something a few minutes ago you might find interesting. It's from a list of 184 Confederate prisoners from Mississippi who died at Rock Island, Ill. James J. Brewer was on the list. The first prisoners were captured at the battles of Missionary Ridge and Lookout Mt. They arrived Nov. 26-27, 1863. sbk
