John P. BREWER WAS the son of John "Barrett" BREWER who was born in Charles City County, VA and died in what is now Macon or Bullock Co., AL. south of Union Springs, AL. John P. BREWER married S. TOWNSEND. He owned quite a lot of property in what was then Montgomery County, then Macon and now part Macon and part Bullock Cos.
John "Barrett" BREWER was married 2nd to Melinda POLLARD in 1794 in Wilkes County, GA. Melinda or Melindy was the daughter of John or William POLLARD of Washington Co., GA. They had 3 children: Sarah, John P. and Martha. Sarah married a SCOTT, and Martha married a SANDERS.
John "Barrett" BREWER was the son of Sackville BREWER who died in VA between 1792 and 1835. This Sackville BREWER was the son or grandson of the BREWER who married Martha WHITE of VA. There is a BARRETT marriage in their line also.
This line is clearly stated in "The Long BREWER line".
