The Goodspeed article is one of those where they wrote articles about people for a book so they could sell the book to them. It says that Zadock and Mary Brumley Brewer had 10 children. It names five living: William C, Minerva (married John Sowers. Sally (wife of Henry Counts), Sarah (married to a Casper) and James M.. I think there is a mistake here. Sally was actually Sarah per the 1850 census and I don't think there would be two Sarah's. It lists as deceased Joseph D, John D, Zadock, Henry C and Jacob. It also states James married Emeline Weeks, daughter of JM Weeks in Johnson County AR. It lists their children as James M, Lou (wife of Henry Prechet, I think it is Pritchard) Margaret E, Bell (wife of William Bradley, John H, Callie, Ida, William, Lillie and Victoria.

1850 Tippah County MS census

Bruer Zadock 53
Mary Ann 44
John E 19
Marion (James) 17
Sarah 14
Zadock H 12
Joseph 10
William 6
Jacob 3

Hope this helps Judy
