I have Brewers whom I believe came from Chatham County, N.C. and some of them moved on to Morgan County, Indiana before 1830. My G-G-Grandad was Andrew Brewer, b. about 1818 in (I believe) Chatham County, N.C. I THINK he may be the grandson of Nathan Brewer, however, Nathan had 5 sons I think (Willis, Daniel, Frederick, William C., and Terrill). Willis and Daniel do not appear in Indiana, but the other 3 do appear. By process of elimination, I don't think Frederick, William C., or Terrill was his father - yet he appears in Indiana on the 1840 census as owning land. What I mean by "process of elimination" is that one of those boys had all girls Andrews age, another was too young to have been his father, and William C. had a son named Anderson but Anderson was Andrew's cousin - so that eliminates William C. I don't know what ever happened to Willis or Daniel. Is there any connection here? Bob in OKC.
