I am a descendant of an Asa Brewer. He was
born in the Carolinas (I think) and was of Dutch ancestry, His descendants (my mother's
family) settled in Smith County and Simpson
Co., Mississippi area. I have no knowledge that he lived in Indiana. I have some info.
on the Brewer family (but not a lot). The surname was probably originally spelled Brouwer. I will check the info. I have and see if his wife's name is Dorcas. I don't recall seeing this name before-Jeff
