Just to let you know that you need to check the CARTER, LITTLEFIELD, DOCKERY(REY/RAY),
McBAY LINES. I am a CARTER and have BREWERS in my line.
There is a HENRY T.BREWER and wife, EMILY C. CARTER in the 1880 CENSUS MUDDY FORK TSP.
in PIKE CO., ARK. EMILY b. 7/7/1852 d. 3/28/1940. Her father was HENRY W. CARTER
and her mother was SIDNEY ANN HUDDLESTON REED.EMILY is buried at the cemetery in
MURFREESBORO,ARK.
ROSCOE BREWER is the son of EMILY C. and
HENRY BREWER and his wifes name was SUE.
Could be SUSANNAH. There was another child,
a girl, named CAROLINE who married FRED BAKER. My family book was put together in a period between 1956 and ended in DEC 1974. It states at that time, both CAROLINE and FRED BAKER taught math at the junior high in LITTLE ROCK,ARK. and their son was a premed student at OKLAHOMA UNIVERSITY (OU).
HENRY BREWER took up some land on the
HOMESTEAD ACT adjacent to other land he owned. He was born in 1850,the youngest of six children born to HENRY and ELIZABETH HEWITT(ETT) BREWER. His father was born in
NC. He went to TN,to MO,going to MUDDY FORK
CREEK in 1818. ELIZABETH received a very limited education. He had a brother,WILLIAM T. BREWER,in the CONFEDERATE ARMY.
HENRY and EMILY BREWER had the following
children: CHARLES,MITTIE(died at 13 yrs),
MATTIE,CORTEZ,ROSCOE,WILLIAM R.,GUY,MACK
HAMILTON and OSERO.
These are also mentioned...
MARY C CARTER m. O.J. BREWER in 1872.
MARY EMILY b. 2/27/1874
MARTHA ELIZABETH b. 10/9/1875
CUSTER b. 4/30/1878
ZENOBIA b. 9/3/1879 d.2/16/1916. Was married to a KENT.
It states that O.J. BREWER is not related to HENRY BREWER.
