Form a researcher of Chatham Co., NC:
"Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions for Chatham Co.: Pg.21 is in the
Feb. session of the court for, 1775, "John Brewer, a poor aged and
inform man be recommended to the next General Assembly as a proper
person to be exempt from the payment of Taxes.""
Could this John Brewer be John Brewer, Sr., and live another 49 years?
Not likely, so this John is probably the son of George and Sarah Lanier
Brewer who many researchers believe to have been born ca 1720. He may
be the father of John Brewer, Sr., but no proof has yet been found. One
researcher has John Brewer, son of George and Sarah, died in 1780 in
Herford, NC. Need some comments.
