I do not think that Frances Hopkins was Sackfield BREWER's first wife. She married him in 1785 and (their) his son, BARRETT who is also named John Barrett BREWER married in 1794 in Wilkes Co., GA to Melindy POLLARD. I doubt that a nine year old was allowed to marry.
I think that further investigation will find that Sackfield / Sackville BREWER married earlier to Martha WHITE before 1758 and had older children
Catherine born 1759
Martha
John Barrett born 1763
Edith born before 1770
William White born before 1776
None of these could be Fanny Hopkins' children. I DO believe that it is the same Sackfield / Sackville BREWER that married both Martha and Fanny.
