Hi Jean and Christine,

Are you familiar with the book titled "History of Boothbay, Southport and Boothbay Harbor, Maine" by Francis Greene, 1906?

In this book there is a family history section, including a section on the BREWER family. Perhaps this would provide some clues. If Mr. Greene's information is correct, John and Susanna Day BREWER were my 6th gr grandparents. I have researched the Boothbay Vital Records back to Samuel and Nabby (Bennett) Brewer. According to Greene, Samuel is John and Susanna's grandson.

There is also a brief section on the DAY family of Boothbay in this book.
