My line of Brewers were in Elbert Co (which was formed in 1790 out of a portion of Wilkes Co) GA. Martha H. Brewer m. John Royal, Jr., and they moved into Jackson Co, then to Athens, Clarke Co, GA where they remained until after the Civil War when some of them moved to Winder, GA. You may want to check the censuses for those Counties. I'll bet your guy is of the same Brewer line as Martha H. Brewer, dau of John Brewer, who was son of Edmund Brewer (Martha was b. in Elbert Co, and John died there. I believe Edmund d. in Wilkes County, prob the same area that became Elbert Co.) Let me know what you find. Johanna
