My Great Uncle was Francis Payne Brewer who was a Naval Commander during WWII. he recieved the Special Medal for Service when he retired in 1945. He began hi naval career in 1916 and faught in WWI as well where the ship that he was on was sunk by a German U-Boat (he was not commanding that ship).
