I don't have a lot of information. I know that Preston married Rena Hale who was part native american, assumed to be Cherokee or Chicksaw. Rena was illiterate and only 14 when they were married. A photo of her was taken in Quanah, Texas. Preston Brewer was John Preston Brewer. He was born in 1832 in Georgia. Their children were Jim Brewer, George Brewer,Alice Jane Brewer (my great grandmother), Mary Brewer Cable, Francis Brewer, Josie Brewer, Lillie Brewer Owens. They were in Palo Pinto Texas in 1881 where Alice Jane Married James Bright Carter. Bright was born in Cherokee Co, Texas. Bright drove Longhorn cattle to Montana in 1886 with Alice Janes brothers, Jim and George. Jim Brewer became the Mayor of Baker, Montana. Alice Jane and Bright stayed in Montana. George Brewer returned to Texas.
