Did you ever find out exactly where Brevard's Co. was organized? A Thomas Templeton served in Brevard's Co. which I think mightly possibly have been formed in Rowan Co, NC (Present day southern Iredell Co.) There were many Brevards who settled in the Davidson's Creek/Coddle Creek area.
I'm trying to find out if there were 2 Thomas' in Iredell Co. in the late 1700's--1 in the south & 1 in the north on Rocky Creek-- or only one who may have migrated from south to north.
Any help appreciated.
