My Brearton/Brereton family was from Thurles.
My g=g grandfather was Edward,b.1789? married Catherine Kane/Keane in Ireland. My g-grandfather was Martin born abt. 1830 in Ireland. Other sib. Richard, Michael, Anne, Mary, that I'm aware of. Martin was in Ohio in 1860.
Anyone sould familar? I'm wondering if Edward could be related in some way to your Michael?
Thank you for any information you can give me on this issue.
