Hello, Breretons!

I am seeking information concerning a family who lived in Leeds, Yorkshire, Civil Parish of Armley & Wortley, in the 1891 England Census. JOHN T. BRERETON, b. 1849, Dublin, Ireland, Surgeon & Physician; MAGGIE BRERETON, b. 1851, New York, America; son, JOHN H. BRERETON, b. 1874, state of Michigan, United States, scholar; son, GEORGE C. BRERETON, son, b. 1882, Dronfield, Derbyshire, England; ESTHER HARDISTY, General Servant, b. Pickering, Yorkshire, 1872.

I'm wondering if MAGGIE BRERETON could possibly be the sister of my GGrandmother, RACHEL HUFF/HOUGH CARSON, b. New York, about 1864. Family history indicates her sister, MAGGIE HUFF/HOUGH married and went to England to live. Both sisters were born in New York. When RACHEL died in 1901 in Kentucky, her sister & husband offered to take my grandfather & his 3 siblings to live with them in England.

I have learned that both family names if HOUGH & BRERETON are prominent names in Cheshire and in the state of New York in America.

I would truly appreciate any information anyone could share concerning this family, including and descendants in England or in America. I'm desperately trying to also find the names of the parents of these 2 HOUGH/HUFF sisters!

Many Thanks!

MaryEllen Carson
