Another child, Cloudesley Picton Brereton, became a farmer at Oak River Manitoba, and his son was Alexander Pictor Brereton who won the Victoria Cross in battle at Amiens on 9 August 1918. Alexander was buried at Elnora, Alberta on 11 June 1976. Cloudesley Shovell Brereton was son of Abel Brereton and Elizabeth Lloyd Abel Brereton was twin brother of my 3 greats grandfather John Brereton. They were born at Brinton, Norfolk, England in 1753. You can find John Brereton's ancestors at http://brereton.org.uk I have some information about the descendants of these doctors, and would be interested in comparing with any information which you may have.
